Restore, Reconnect, Rejuvenate: A Revitalizing Somatic Workshop for Givers
All people deserve access to the care that they need. That includes all the people who are working hard to care for others.
Our culture doesn’t value giving professions or people who are caretakers to others. As a giver (teacher, healthcare worker, therapist, social worker, or caregiver), you are expected to go above and beyond, often at the expense of your own well-being.
When you try to set boundaries or choose to take care of yourself, your commitment to providing care is questioned.
You are asked to overcompensate for the brokenness of the systems. In addition, you are not adequately compensated for your work and are given messages that you shouldn’t be in this work for the money.
While self-care is given lip service, your time and energy are taxed by workplace expectations, impairing your ability to be fully present with yourself and those you serve.
Your work is invaluable, and your needs are as important as those you serve.
This workshop is a somatic experience to give yourself the care you deserve. We want you to have the tools to prioritize yourself and your needs.
This 90-minute workshop will explore different somatic practices to release, ground, and energize. It will integrate yoga therapy, psychomotor practices, breathwork, mindfulness, and stretching practices to rebalance your system.
We see all your work for others and want you to have space to care for yourself. We hope you will join us for this virtual workshop!
